No wind options

Should there be no wind days during the Safari trips we can offer the client the option of us driving them to and from any location that they may be keen to visit along the way with a ‘heads up’ on what to look out for.

The client at his/her own discretion must meet any additional cost.

Places of interest along the way may include:

Mombasa

  • Built in 1593, the Portuguese stronghold of Fort Jesus
  • The Old Mombasa Town dating back to ancient Swahili design and Muslim influence
  • Moi Avenue and its double lined souvenir shops and stalls
  • Mombasa Tusks commemorating coronation of Elizabeth II
  • Bamburi Quarry Nature Park

Kilifi

  • Mnarani ruins dating back to 14th century
  • Sisal plantation started during the colonial era, one of 7 remaining in Kenya
  • Dhow trips criss crossing the creek, great vantage point for bird life and surroundings
  • Wakeboarding, water skiing or sailing on the creek
  • Snorkelling trips

Watamu

  • Famous Hemingways Hotel
  • Deep sea fishing
  • Watamu National Marine Park
  • South end at the mouth of Mida creek there is a large mangrove edged in saltwater that offers up excellent bird watching

Malindi

  • Vasco de Gama pillar, monument erected in stead of the explorers landing in 1498
  • Gedi Ruins, remains of Gede Kenya a small Swahili town that thrived hundreds of years ago
  • African Curio Market on Seafront road
